This Tribute is supporting St Wilfrid's Hospice, Eastbourne. The staff at St. Wilfrid's Hospice Eastbourne cared for Brian and myself during Brian's Illness. The love and care shown to us both was extraordinary, the staff ensured that we could remain together during the final 7 weeks of his life which enabled us to make the most of the precious time that we had together. All the services are delivered free and that demand is growing. During 2021/22, they cared for more than 2,186 patients and family carers living with a life-limiting illness. It costs over £18,000 per day to run the hospice and the NHS only fund around 30% of this. They therefore depend on 70% of their income from those who support by donating regularly or making one-off gifts, attending or running events, leaving a gift in their will, giving to or buying from their shops, playing the hospice lottery or visiting and enjoying the café.
