Jamie's Big Bike Ride Fundraiser for St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) Ltd

James Lonnen 10th May 2024

Story

Brian was just 49 when he sadly passed away at St. Wilfred's Hospice, Eastbourne on 23rd December 2023. He left a lasting impression on every person he came into contact with including the staff who looked after him in his last few months. He lived a life full of laughter and love and was taken away from his family and friends far too early.
Some comfort can be sought in the fact that both Brian and his wife Kelly, who was also able to stay with him in the room at the Hospice, were so well looked after in those last few months by all of the staff at St. Wilfrid's. They provide such an important service to so many people in their time of need.
I am undertaking this bike trip from John O Groat's to Lands End to try and raise some much needed funds for the Hospice and thank you for your kind donations to such a worthy cause.
St Wilfrid’s provides support for people with any life-limiting illness towards the end of their lives.
They also support their families and carers. This could be in the hospice building, in the person’s own home or a care home.
They are a charity, partly funded by the NHS but around 70% of funding is from donations from the local community. Care is free of charge.
